To exclude some files from git commit

syntax  - git update-index --assume-unchanged <filepath>
example - git update-index --assume-unchanged default/config.php

To undo the above command

syntax  - git update-index --no-assume-unchanged <filepath>
example - git update-index --no-assume-unchanged default/config.php
