The keypress event has been deprecated, 
you should look to use beforeinput : https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/HTMLElement/beforeinput_event
or keydown : https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Document/keydown_event
instead.
