application design stages

What are the 6 design stages of application development?

1. The Requirements Analysis Stage
Information is gathered about the application specific to the clients needs.
Ways of gathering info: interviews, questionnaires, observations and
documentation.

2. The Design Stage
Designing of the clients application, annotated diagram of the interface
and approved by the client. The client will receive prototype design images
for the application. If they are not happy with the designs, any requests

3. The Implementation/ Coding Stage
When the client is happy with the designs, the product is created and
tested regularly throughout development.

4. The Testing Stage
It can take place during the coding stage. The application should be
tested and compared to the clients original requirements before sent to them.

5. The Deployment Stage
Client tests the product, if everything meets their requirements they will
accept the application. If not then go back to testing.

6. The Maintenance Stage
Either to correct bugs or improve performance or adapt the application
