what if bug in production
Initially we need to check if the issue reported in Prod environment is a valid defect. If so: Than first of all I am trying to keep calm because whoever tested might be in a big trouble :) I reproduce the defect to check whether if error occur on my end aswell or is it because of users error or configuration issue. If also gives an error on my end than I would go more into detail to check whether if it is only occur in specific browser or if I need different configuration etc. So while developers find the solution as a tester I would try to find root cause of this issue. So before developers apply hotfix sometimes we need to also check since it is in production enviroment and if fixing the bug might lead other defects in the future. it could be even worse. So basically we need to brainstorming as a team to check how to apply hotfix.
